Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born August 19, 1965 is an American actor. Her most famous part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the series was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her regular role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has stated that she is a participant in Passover seders.
